Beautiful  is the fade at the edge a frame?

Thanks very much. This is a scanned print. The print had been matted and framed for the exhibit, and I wanted to scan today using the new flatbed scanner that just arrived, so I took the print out of the frame. There had been some discoloration, but I really wanted to post this, so just went ahead and did it. I'll look for the negative eventually, and (hopefully) will do a better scan for printing, but I'm really fond of this image, and just wanted to see it posted. The discoloration is much worse at full view; maybe I should direct viewers to keep it at the small view. Anyway, I'm glad that you like it.

That is really really beautiful! Did you print it really large... it would be magnificent large!
:iconcheshire118:
Thank you! The first generation print that was made from the negative was printed at 8x10. I think you're right that a larger print would be very effective, but haven't been able to find the negative. I'm having some trouble with prints made from the scanned 8x10 -- color is off. I need to get it to a good lab to get the color right. I'm really glad that you like it. It's one of my favorite macros.

It you get the image drum scanned, you might be able to get it adjusted right for a print... to make it large. It would be awesome. It might even be beautiful in black and white. Stunning image!

Thank you so much. It was actually a rose that was beginning to age just a bit. I'm glad you like it.

This is beautiful, I think that simple curve is very seductive. I agree that this image could be very nice as a large photo on a wall somewhere, but when you go into the fullview it does become a little blurry.
